Social Content Production by Teen Group
Nhat Ky Vang Anh, an interactive
soap opera made by Vietnam Television VTV, is one of few TV programs could make
Vietnamese teens interested (presumably from the broadcaster, but I
think their parents are main viewers). Licensing from Portugal's BeActive, part 2 of the series is getting downward rating.
Based on the story, a teen group started a self produced series called
Nhat Ky Fank, using YouTube embedded into social network
Yahoo360. It is truly UGC that video sharing sites should promote.
However, clip.vn is
not their choice. Meanwhile Nhat Ky Vang Anh clips are being uploaded to
clip.vn and this could make it face some legal trouble from BeActive
since web licensing is another package.

UGC and USC
Many user
generated content UGC services now attract million visits daily, this
lead to booming of media sharing sites in China and Vietnam could follow
soon. But copyright infringement is big headache for these services.
Look into Vietnam YouTube clone clip.vn , almost users record video clips
from TV channels and rip from pirated DVDs, drop by yeuamnhac.com international music
tracks are being used without copyrights. If business model is
advertising based, how big advertisers and ad agencies put their sweet
brands along with pirated content. These are not truly UGC services
rather a user submitted content USC. Self recording of video clips is
not a habit of Vietnamese users now. An option of USC is to follow Digg. It is mutual benefit for both USC
services and original content owners (OCO). If users are interested in
the stories they would track to the original and both service get
traffic increase. Many OCO embed Digg buttons to promote their services
and advertisers are happy to put ads on these rights clear
services.
